VISION

To grow our hearts toward generosity as we put God and the Gospel first. Raise the Sails calls us to embark on a generosity journey and live in ways that please Him. Before God does something THROUGH us, He often seeks to do something IN us. 

PRIMARY GOAL: 100% ENGAGEMENT

We invite every person in the First Prez ‘ohana to join this journey, take the next step in discipleship, and grow in generosity. As we understand God’s generosity, our love for others grows, and so do our compassion, generosity, sense of mission, and the desire to share the Gospel. We find it easier to bless others. We become the church that looks to the interests of others more than ourselves.

SECONDARY GOAL: $15.5 MILLION

We’re trusting God to move through us and resource the vision by investing $15.5 million over the next two years and accomplish the vision He has given our church that will impact these three areas: 

• Ministry Operations: $9 million
  For current ministries, including The Vine downtown campus, and day-to-day operations of First Prez for the next two years. Our annual church budget is $4.5M, multiplied by two years, equals $9M. 

• Repairs & Renovations: $5 million
  For needed repairs and improvements on campus (sewage system, fellowship hall, elevators, roofing, road paving, etc). 

• Ministry Expansion: $1.5 million
  For expanding the reach of God’s Kingdom locally and globally through new ministries, including an internship program, a faith-at-work leadership institute, new staff, and training of new leaders.
